Cute little Signe.

Signe showed up in Cabaços after storm Kristin devastated central Portugal.

It was cold and wet on the streets. Many people saw her and tried to befriend her. But Signe trusted no one.

She made friends with Wolfie who made her feel safe. After months on the streets our volunteers manage to catch her through Wolfie and they came to the shelter.

And Signe showed us that she wasn’t really so scared at all. She is a Feisty lady and has a lot to say but to be safe she thought herself to stay away from humans.

After a while we could force her to be touched.

Mainly because then we could take her out of her kennel for a walk or a run in the playpenn.

She was ok with that as long as Wolfie was there with her.So she started to go out and accept human contact

Later we moved them to a bigger kennel with 3 other dogs. Signe is very sociable with other dogs and started making new friends straight away.

Now Signe enjoys human contact and comes herself for cuddles. She is getting better every day.

She is a sweet and lovely girl who needs a real home to call her own. Signe would LOVE to stay together with Wolfie

but if that is not possible , a home with a stable other dog who likes to play with her

Signe is only small. Maybe 35/40 cm and 6 kg

The vets have put 3 years old in her vaccination book but she could be a lot younger too…

The thing is we never know for shure
