This very cute little girl is called Florence .

She was abandoned with Yansie and Jonathan next to the shelter and it was quite a challenge to catch them. They were very scared and very hungry. Yansie would take food from my hand

But there was no way she would let me touch her. We spend hours trying and build up the trap in the meentime.

Florence was so hungry she walked straight in the trap and we could put her in safety.

But Yansie disappeared. And I expected the worse….. that she was hid by a car

Days passed without any sign of her untill one morning she came back for Florence and she was in the company of Jonathan…..

When Florence knew they were close she started screaming for them. A horrible sound full of panic and pain

And Yansie did anything to come to her without getting to close to us…… It was a very emotional event and after some time Yansie was just exhausted and we managed to catch her and reunite her with Florence.

Jonathan had desappeared but also came back for them and he was a lot less scared then the girls and came closer to us so we could catch him too.

We don’t know if they are family, they don’t look like eachother at all but they were so attached to eachother that they rather let us catch them then leave the others behind

Because of logistics we could not keep them together in the same kennel but we kept the girls together.

In the safety of a kennel in a group of 6 dogs they don’t seem as attached to eachother as out on the streets and I think it is safe to say that they can be adopted separately

As long as there will be an other dog in the family because they feel more safe around other dogs

They are with us now for a few weeks .

Florence is confident around the other dogs no and comes out for food and treats but when it is time for cuddles she hides inside.

Florence behaves like she was never touched before she came to us and still screams if someone or something touches her when she doesn’t expect it. A very high pitch squeak…

She does let us stroke her in the safety of a dog bed . If you stick with her head she seems to enjoy it but the rest of her body is still extremely scary for her

Their group goes to our playpen every day and they seem to enjoy that

But they still find it difficult to walk on a leash so they are being carried there and they enjoy that.

Florence seems to fully relaxed when carried

So I believe that is the way to recovery. Someone who will pick her up regularly, carry her around or sit with her on their lap until she is able to relax and enjoy like she deserves

So we are looking for these very special people full of love and patience with (an) other dog(s)

Who will love this little girl so much that she will have the chance to become a normal happy girl.

The vets think she is only 3 years old.

She is about 35 cm high and only weighs 5,5 kg.

So she is a tiny dog

Who is gonna give this little princess the chance to become happy?
