This gorgeous little thing is called Barbara

But we often nickname her Babs

Barbara was abandoned with her mother Benilde in the village close to the shelter. Someone even saw them being kicked out of the car….

That scared them. All of a sudden alone in the big world.

Mum was a lot more confident then her daughter só we decides not to catch them but to try and let them trust us. We would go and feed them every day and make them comfortabel around us.

But after a month we could still not touch them só we used a trap to catch them and brought them to the shelter. Benilde was straight away fine and confident. Happy to be safe

But Barbara still didn’t wanted to be touched.

She loved to see us, happy to take treats from us. Coming close to eat our famous pasta with chicken stomachs. But no touch….

We just gave her time and love and little by little she started to show more confidence.

Now we are slowed to stroke her.

We can take her on a walk

Let her play in the playpenn

But she still is very shy and needs a family with lots of love and patience

And she will need another stable dog to relate too.

Barbara is still only a baby and not more then a year old

Her fur is as soft as angel hair and although still scared she will never bite.

She just needs to go to the right place and she will flourish.

40 cm high, short on the legs and 9 kg

We hope to find this gorgeous girl her special home

In the meantime we will continue to work on her confidence
