Cute little Ozark came to us after he was found in a horrible state on the streets. Still with his chain attached to him. He was in a serious state of neglect and probably lucky that he had managed to escape .He tested positive to leischmaniosa and if we would not have given him a second chance, he would have been euthanised.

Ozark loves people but it is obvious people had not always been nice to him. He was very submissive and scared to be hit.Flat on the floor for everything.

To give him a more positive view on people and life in general we have housed him in the Penn the volunteers use for breaks and lunch etc so he has a lot of positive attention. And he loves it!

Slowly he starts to understand that we are not gonna hurt him and his joyful personality comes out and is taking the overhand.

He is very enthusiastic and greats everyone full with love. He will check your hands looking for food ( he was so skinny when he came in… he was only 10 kg and now 15 which is perfect for him) He does beg when we eat but very polite with enough distance , just looking at you with his melancholic eyes… He is so sweet!

He loves going on walks and is very active and curious. His new life is an adventure for him.

Ozark likes other dogs but all the dogs we tried him, didn’t like Ozark. Not shure why…Maybe he is a bit clumsy and over enthusiastic because life on a chain usually meens no contact with other dogs.

He is a sweetheart and with some love and patience he will do his best for you to please you. That’s a fact

So who will change this beautiful boys life forever and give him the love he wants so badly and deserves

Ozark is 45 cm high

And the vets think he is around 6 years old

For the leischmaniosa he takes 1 alipurinol a day and everything is under control.
