Zé was probably abandoned as a puppy and appeared one day near a village. He was nervous of people initially and it took a few weeks of someone feeding him twice a day to gain his confidence and be able to bring him to the shelter. He has thrived there as he loves company! He is a typical rough haired podengo, full of energy, mischief and love. He is extremely sociable with dogs who can handle his energy, but he might be a bit too enthusiastic for dogs who like peace and quiet. He loves to run and play, with the occasional break for cuddles. He adores children and would be wonderful for an active family with a big garden.

Zé is around 18 months old and weighs 17kg.
