Benedicto was on the streets for a long time before he came to us, and he’s had a hard life. He has leischmaniosa, was severely malnourished, was covered in wounds. His front feet are deformed, possibly because of malnourishment while he was a puppy and still growing. We don’t know what has happened in his past, but we do know that he has got through it by being the sweetest, softest little dog you could imagine. Maybe he just hoped that if he was nice to everyone, one day someone would be nice to him.

When he first came to us, he was so exhausted that he just slept. He’s a bit more active now, but will always be a calm dog. He walks well, but his feet don’t allow him to run. He loves a comfy bed or a lap for a cuddle. He is just such an easygoing little thing, would not be any trouble to anyone and is looking for a quiet home with lots of love.

Benedicto is about 7 years old, although looks older because of his hard life. He weighs 11kg and could do with putting on a bit more weight.
