Malin was found on the street a couple of months ago in a terrible state. He has leishmaniosis and, when left untreated, it causes awful problems and is often fatal. Malin had raw, open wounds with exposed bone and only weighed 3.5kg. He’s really lucky that he was found when he was and brought to us.
He went straight into foster care and, thanks to their love, veterinary treatment and a fighting spirit, he is a completely different dog! His weight has more than doubled and his wounds have healed. He will continue to need daily medication for the leish and his heart, but he is such a happy little dog. He is sweet and cuddly with people, and follows his humans everywhere. He is in foster care with 4 big dogs (up to 45kg) and is completely sociable with them. His foster carers say that they can’t fault him – he’s brave, into everything, a delightful little chap and they love him to bits.
He is around 8 years old and 8kg, he still has a bit of weight to put on.
