Lea came to us in July 2017. She was locked in a rabbit hutch as a puppy, no contact with people or the outside world, and was eventually found and confiscated from her owner. When she came to us, via the municipal shelter, she was terrified of everything and everyone. It has taken the last few months for her to get used to the volunteers at the shelter but she has learned to socialise and have a cuddle. She still has a long way to go to become a normal dog and there are so many things she didn’t have the chance to learn as a puppy – she needs a home with someone who has the love, time and patience to allow her to settle at her own pace.
